Major Important Decisions In Life

Days ago, on Friday 6th of December 2024 I had the chance to meet a wonderful person name Lelot. She is a woman over 60 years old and she is also a co worker of mine.

We had a long trip together along with his husband and my boss. I sat on the second row with Lelot, and it allowed me to have a long conversation with her during the travel time. There were so many that we talk about, but here I want to share something that could help you guys in the future.

So, she shared with me three major important decisions in life. What are they? They are who you will worship, what course you will take, and who you're gonna marry. Let's dig into it one by one.

1. Who you will worship
   
   We are on the same faith and we both have a spiritual journey that makes us believe to Jesus. She shared that she feels so lucky to have Jesus in life. She knows Jesus is alive and working. On her darkest valley, when she recalled the past when she had to do back surgeries twice, it was so scary because she almost paralyzed for the rest of her life. But she is glad during that time, she has Jesus that kept her sane and gave her hope when it was so easy for her to fall into depression. She knew she wasn't alone and it really helped her. Good news! She is more than healthy now, she was even able to do little hike to our destination, Lempuyang Temple!
   
   She added that when you go through the darkest valley, just pray to Jesus, the only one who will give you hope. I personally can connect to what she said as I decided to worship and follow Jesus because He saved me through one of the darkest time in my life. His love touched my heart. Up until now, He kept His promises that He will never let me down. And to follow Jesus is still the best decision I did in life and I will never regret it.
   
   
2. What course you will take
   
   Choose what course you will take wisely, as most of the time this will determine the job you're getting. Some parents still force their kid to take course that they like and consider the best for their kid, but never ask what course actually they want to take. This is a sad truth. Consequently, this brings to bigger problem when the kid feels forced and lead to unfinished study, even do job that they are not enjoy doing everyday. What a misery!
   
   
3. Who you're gonna marry
   
   Choosing the one that you're gonna marry is very important decision in your life. For this very important decision has the potential to increase happiness or to bring upon misery. You'll spend the rest of your life with this person, so make sure to marry your best friend. Marry someone that you can be comfortable with, someone who can accept you for who you are, and someone to be crazy together. 
   
   As a Christian, she suggested young people to always seek for a godly man and woman as their partner. Someone who has the same sprit with you. For example, if you're the type of Christian that is like to be involved to the service, then you need to find the same kind of person too.. because marrying a Christian that only go to church on Sunday and avoid church's service might hurt you. Find someone who's on the same page as you are.
   
   Next, this could be the most frequently ask question.. how to find the one? She answered it and gave me a pro tip haha. She said that I need to pray and ask God to make my path and the godly man He's sending to me to cross to each other. Wow, I was amazed because I've heard a lot of praying but not about asking God to make our path as a couple cross with each other. But now I know, I will definitely pray this way!
   
   Oh, a friend of mine that plan to marry next year also suggested me to pray for future husband from now. Even though, I am not in a relationship with someone or interested with one yet. She just encourages me to pray so I can be prepared. She even added the earlier the better.
   
   Let God write your love story and He will orchestrated everything for your goodness.

I am always enchanted to meet new people, especially the older one because there is a lot of things to learn from them. The experience differs from one person to the other  and it just enables us to gain so much from other people. So, I hope this article helps you to navigate through life!
