Major Important Decisions In Life

Days ago, on Friday 6th of December 2024 I had the chance to meet a wonderful person name Lelot. She is a woman over 60 years old and she is also a co worker of mine. We had a long trip together along with his husband and my boss. I sat on the second row with Lelot, and it allowed me to have a long conversation with her during the travel time. There were so many that we talk about, but here I want to share something that could help you guys in the future. So, she shared with me three major important decisions in life. What are they? They are who you will worship, what course you will take, and who you're gonna marry . Let's dig into it one by one. Who you will worship We are on the same faith and we both have a spiritual journey that makes us believe to Jesus. She shared that she feels so lucky to have Jesus in life. She knows Jesus is alive and working. On her darkest valley, when she recalled the past when she had to do back surgeries twice, it was so scary because she almost...

Power Within The Self

I've been really obsessed with this book name Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers. Thanks to a friend who sent me this book! As it's been a totally life changing book, I always have something to learn on each chapter. And one thing I'd like to share with you today.. from the book.. is about power. 💗 When it comes to fear, it's never been the fear that limits people from attaining the kind of life they long for.. but  the way they hold their fear that does it. As there are two types of people. 1) who feel the fear and stop; 2) who feel the fear and do it anyway. Here we can see that fear has never been the problem.  Next question, when other people are capable to hold their fear gracefully, why do some people don't? The answer relies on where they place their power. Regarding to Feel The Fear And Do It Anyway , people hold fear by two ways. The first one is by the state of pain , and the second one is by the state of power . These two are totally in rev...

How Wonderful You Truly Are

It's late on the midnight, she is there, sitting silently on a dunk chair of a minimarket. No one knows what she has been thinking for the rest fifteen minutes, but everyone definitely knows it is something that been bothering her for a while. She plays with her thoughts a lot, it's fun but trust her not always. Just like tonight, she wished somebody would sit next to her, so everything won't feel this empty. Loneliness is common problem of people these days. It's the state of mind, rather than the state of environment. If not, then you might not find people go to a club at 9 pm 'til 3 am in the morning to shut the voice off their head. If not, then you might not find people work their ass off 'til they get sick, trying to forget their personal problems whose actually make them broken. If not, then you might not find people going nowhere but home, just like what she does. Ah , hey , what does home even mean?? She chuckled. She knows people been talking about thi...

A Tale of the Beautiful Swan and the Ugly Duck

It was Monday afternoon when I watched this Netflix Series name A Daily Dose of Sunshine . Not my typical drama to watch, but the plot story had gotten my heart. This drama presents us a big chunk of mental health insight in a most simple way to absorb. I am so much interested when it comes to mental health, since I'm curious not only with the motives that intrigue every human behaviour, but also the feelings behind it. My favorite lines would come from the first episode, where there is a conversation about happiness between Song Yoo-chan and Jang Da-eun. They were having a night stroll along the Han River, when Jang Da-eun stated her confusion towards her patient, Oh Ri-na. She looks like she has everything; wealth, beauty, popularity, respectful husband but it doesn't make her happy at all. Jang Da-eun described Oh Ri-na's life as the perfect beautiful Swan. Then Song Yoo-chan brought up the answer by saying, maybe she doesn't like to be a Swan. As no matter how much ...

Impossible Possible

Hey, happy to see you all again! I come back with some great news to share. Read carefully.. this is a story about how He has been so kind to me and sure, for you as well.😊 Have you ever been in a situation which makes you wanna give up and stop fighting? I faced this situation months ago in late 2023. I could say it was the toughest moment in my life (again) after a while. My family encountered a financial difficulties and I needed to support my family as soon as possible. I had no idea where to go to look for a job that is close enough from home, so I can still take care of my mom and take online uni classes at the same time. At that moment, I was totally lost because I couldn't see a way since the major I'm in right now is not my cup of tea.. so I had no experiences or portfolios to prove my abilities. And shame on myself who didn't have a pro IT close friend to be asked for. But nothing is impossible for God. As I took an internship in a bank (October 2023), I met my v...

Design A Better You: The Law of Habit Formation

Birds were flying low and puddles from last night's rain were still there as I took a stroll around the town square. That was unusual for me to take a morning walk at 6 AM, especially if it was drizzling. My old me would prefer to have an evening walk instead, thus I could watch Miss Sun goes to sleep and send her a little good bye.  Surprisingly, guys.. I went to have a walk in a such rainy windy weather anyway. Ah , or if I.. really put a thought on it.. was it just me who don't want to break the healthy habit I've been struggling to build up? Yes , I've been struggling to be a morning person for these past three months. Although the initiation wasn't coming from myself neither, I had to wake up early from Monday-Friday to catch up the office hour for my internship. But hey see, I'm doing a pretty good now! It raised up new question to me, "How is a habit formed?" According to Practical Psychology, habits are routines and things that we do on a regu...

In The Eyes of Scientist

Do you like the life that you live today? Of course, the answer is gonna be different for each person. Ah, it reminds me of an interesting conversation I had with this person days ago. He is a 35 years old man, smart, broadminded with warm personality. You won't find any boredom along the conversations, but only find yourself immersed in all potentials that he has. Yet at the moment, he is not on his so happy state. That's becoming my number one reason to create this post, to start another conversation inside my head, "What reasons do stop a person (with such great potentials) from becoming his/her best version?"  While I was wondering for the answer, I was listening to Podcast from Thirty Days of Lunch ft. Sabda (CEO Zenius) - Learn/Unlearn/Relearn . Sabda shared how he found out that mindset is a fundamental concept which determines students accomplishment at school. To me this is applicable to another part of life as well as education.  People's action is the r...
